The Problem

FELCO, a Swiss-based company with global presence, produces an annual magazine called "FELCO Passion", which is distributed via the company’s retail network. The magazine is available in 7 languages, and was originally produced in-house.

However, the company’s communications department was keen to give FELCO Passion a more professional touch, and decided to outsource the magazine’s production.

The Solution

TBSCG took over the entire magazine production process. The editorial, graphic design, and technical teams put their noses to the grindstone in order to deliver ready-to-print PDFs in a multitude of languages, all in record time with the following benefits:

  • A professional magazine, boasting well-conceived layout and content;
  • A single point-of-contact, capable of handling the various different tasks inherent to creating a corporate publication.

The process

Producing FELCO Passion was a three-stage process:

  • Editorial work. The initial editorial meeting enabled us to identify and refine the different sections of the magazine. The content was then written by our Editorial Director. He also ensured that the editorial tone FELCO had chosen to adopt was maintained.
  • Graphic design. Our Artistic Director designed the magazine’s graphic layout, and was then responsible for importing all the content.
  • Development. Once the final proofs had been approved, PDF copies of the magazine were automatically generated in each language using the GMC PrintNet solution that TBSCG had implemented for FELCO.
