Ricard: from front-end development to Haidong Gumdo

At TBSCG not only we are coders, designers, managers and technology lovers in general… the rest of the day we take on many hobbies. One of our Frontend Developers from Barcelona practises a Korean martial art called: Haidong Gumdo. This martial art is based on sword techniques, learning how to cut targets from bamboo, paper, snuff out candles, sparring… 

Ricard Torres teaches this martial art in a school in Barcelona and his students also learn values such as discipline, respect, integrity, self control, courage… One of the many activities involving Haidong Gumdo are the championships. This past July took place in South Korea the World Championship where Ricard participated in the black belts category. He came back home with two medals, two four places in bamboo cutting and paper cutting.
