Wroclaw office

28.12.2011

At Solny Square in the heart of Wroclaw’s city centre, TBSCG’s offices are expanding. We head off to Poland for a guided tour in the company of Lukasz Rajchel and Jakub Koba.

When TBSCG Brussels was moving into its new offices, the Polish subsidiary was almost simultaneously taking possession of an extra floor at number 20 Solny Square. Developers and members of the Support team had called the building’s 4th floor home since June 2010, but soon found themselves short of space. They consequently decided to invade the building’s first floor.

Why the need for more space? Primarily because the Wroclaw agency now has over 30 employees (and still counting…), and the existing office simply wasn’t big enough. Not to mention the fact that having more spacious surroundings makes for a better working environment. What better way of keeping TBSCG’s team spirit alive than enjoying a coffee and a chat, lunching together or taking a well-earned break with the PS3 in the 4th floor conference room...?

The office space is organised according to the technology used: “the TeamSite/LiveSite developers, the SiteCore developers, the members of the Support team, the network administrators and the two people responsible for keeping the show on the road: Kamila and Asia.” “But don’t go thinking we all keep ourselves to ourselves”.

On top of that there are two conference rooms which, when combined, are used to host TBSCG’s major get-togethers as well as the weekly meetings where current projects are reviewed and experiences shared.

Some inside information from Jakub: "since July we’ve been able to rent bikes and head off on two wheels to discover the city centre. In fact there’s a bicycle docking station just opposite the office”. That should thrill our more sporty employees - Lukasz Szostak and Stuart Rosewall to name but two! Another thing that will thrill the self-same employees is the bathroom on the first floor, which will allow them to grab a quick shower after cycling to work.

Last but not least, don’t forget to do your Foursquare check-in. You’ll be welcomed with a coffee. And who knows, maybe one day you’ll become a part of the TBSCG team yourself
